Meet Dan

  • My wife, Amy, and I have fallen completely in love with the charm and character of Thiensville and our neighbors. We're proud to call this village our home.

  • I am a North Shore native, graduating from Whitefish Bay High School in 2012. From there, I attended Central Michigan University - where I earned my degree and met the love of my life.

  • Professionally, I work in technical support and relationship management. My role is built around listening to people, understanding their concerns, and helping solve their problems. I believe those same skills are at the heart of effective public service.

  • As a husband, neighbor, and advocate for the power of local government, I ran for Village Trustee to help make Thiensville the very best version of itself.

my goals

Safety and stability

A safe, clean, and reliable community is the foundation of everything.

  • Maintain our excellent public services without overburdening taxpayers.

  • Continued investment in the Frank L. Weyenberg Library to support children, families, and seniors through education, enrichment, and community connection.

  • Support strong partnerships with MTSD to help ensure our schools remain among the best in Wisconsin.

  • Prioritize regular road repair and sidewalk maintenance to keep our village accessible and safe.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of our children through smart policies and community partnership.

  • Keep Thiensville a family-friendly, walkable, and well-maintained village we’re all proud to call home.

Transparency & Community Empowerment

Government should be accessible, responsive, and truly representative of the people it serves.

  • Monthly rotating office hours with trustees and the Village President to stay connected with residents.

  • Virtual board meetings with online access, recordings, and posted minutes - making government easier to attend and understand.

  • Advocate for regular review of village codes and ordinances to cut red tape and modernize how our government works.

  • Launch an annual community survey for residents to share feedback, ideas, and concerns.

  • Improve and maintain transparent access to public records, meeting agendas, and village initiatives.

  • Encourage collaboration and civil discourse among trustees to make well-informed, realistic decisions.

Building Thiensville Responsibly

Thoughtful growth that adds lasting value to our community while honoring Village charm and character.

  • Strive for a vibrant, walkable Main Street business corridor that rivals nearby destinations like Cedarburg, while maintaining Thiensville’s unique look and feel.

  • Continue to carry forward the momentum of the Thiensville Crossing project (see here for official plan documents).

  • Intentionally create affordable commercial space for shops, cafés, restaurants, breweries, and other resident-friendly businesses.

  • Invite developers to explore opportunities on publicly owned land with a focus on long-term community value.

  • Partner with local property owners and organizations to turn underused spaces into community destinations.

Specific initiatives

  • Modern and Maintained Governance - Consistently review outdated codes and ordinances to cut red tape, and modernize and streamline process.

  • Regional Collaboration - Partner with similarly sized municipalities like Fredonia, Belgium, Bayside, and Saukville to openly share solutions and learn from one another; a rising tide lifts all boats.

  • Monthly Village Leadership Hours - Rotating in-person office hours with trustees and the Village President to improve access and responsiveness.

  • Virtual Board Meetings - Offer online access and recordings of Village meetings to accommodate residents who travel, work nights, or have mobility challenges.

  • Annual Village Survey - Send out a yearly survey for feedback on services, goals, and community needs and concerns.

  • Comprehensive Road Improvement Plan - Prioritize repair for aging streets and sidewalks across the village.

  • Internships with Local Government - Pilot a high school or college internship program to build local pride and future leadership.
